This morning we had Lucy’s family (and friends) up to see the puppies. Lucy has weaned them and they are now eating kibble with some wet food and growing! So about 2 hours ago Lucy left to her home after playing with her puppies and friends and family. The puppies were tuckered out and took their longest nap they have taken in the last couple of weeks. Lisa, Lucy’s guardian mom scrapbooks so I move the gazillion photos I take over to her so she can make a book.
They are harder to take pictures of as they are on the move. Next weekend Mickey’s family will come back to visit and we had news this week that Indie’s family might fly up, visit Oregon vineyards and fly with Indie home. 🙂 Lisa will be here on Saturday as well so she gets to meet in person not only Augie family but now Mickie. I swear we should be a doodling commune! 🙂
They are all adopted and will be heading to wonderful homes. Can’t wait to show you their leaving the nest pictures!
Jeff has been busy cutting oak as we have several days of heavy rain in the forecast. Tonight might be the first real fire of the year. With the busy week behind us we are also having our first crock pot meal of the fall. The maples we planted that line the drive have turned those lovely autumn colors and there is that golden sunset with a crispness in the air.
For those of you who follow the doodlings Daphne, who has “silent heat cycles” should be coming into season shortly. I have a person that put a deposit on her first litter when she was 6 months old. She just turned 4. 🙂
Next year Jory will have her third and final litter, as will Lucy and we have two other up and comings that have passed their testing and will be turning 2. Ah, but that is next year. Right now I have to ponder changing out the summer clothes for winter clothes and taking down the deck furniture. Once the puppies wake up they will have the run of the house. I got them a few toys to help them get over “where is mom” tonight. They are so in the moment that the wondering does not last long.
Pictures or videos coming soon.
