Tucker’s second update…

Hi all,

I hope xxx (I’m sure they did) had as good a homecoming as xx and I. We made it all day yesterday without an accident in the house. “I’m” finally getting trained. LOL!!! This morning Tucker went to the door “seeming” to request to go out shortly after eating and some time after his first “out-of-the-crate morning break. I went out with him and soon he did his business for which I praised him with gusto and gave him a treat. I’m hoping this is a breakthrough. I received the bell I ordered to hang from the back door so we will be working that technique too.

Walked to the park again yesterday afternoon but Tucker was so distracted by the children and another dog, no fetching or even anything close. There was just so much to see. Walking on the way back, a neighbor (new-I hadn’t met before) came out of her house to ask what kind of dog Tucker was. Said she “thought” he was a Labradoodle and they are picking up a girl this weekend. Don’t remember where but she said her’s was born Jan 13 and would weigh about 30 or so lbs. We had a nice chat and it looks like Tucker will have a play mate soon. Toby just isn’t interested in providing that kind of entertainment so far. She has 1 toddler and 2 young boys so I’m wondering how she will work all this but young women can juggle so much these days. Guess we did too back in those days but it seems so much now.

Taking Tucker to the vet in a while to get his next series of shots. Can’t wait for them to see him. It is interesting, Tucker has the greatest “cute factor” of any dog I could have ever wanted and then to have the intelligence to go with it is just the perfect blend. However, I’m sure most people feel the same about their dog whether a Labradoodle or not. But we KNOW Libby’s puppies are stellar.

Have a great one today, all of you,

xxx
