Cinnamon’s three born on 3/3…

Cinnamon gave birth to three live puppies, 2 boys and one girl tonight. Although very excited about the litter, one puppy, the last in the xray, the last to be whelped, was a boy and was still born after several hours of waiting and a visit to the vets we worried this would be the case. The vet confirmed what we thought and one shot helped Cinnie deliver the pup with no other surgery or shot needed.

This ended the whelp on a sad note for us. We have been very lucky to never have had a still born puppy but still saddens us for the doodle that could have been. We believe in nature and following it’s mystery. For some reason, this was not meant to be.

We are blessed with the three, who are health and happy and loved. Treasured more so perhaps to honor the one that was not meant to be with them now, but perhaps in spirit.

I was very impressed from the start with the fact Cinnamon is a natural wonderful mother as her mother before her. She was stellar for her first whelp.

Welcome to the world, our new Australian Labradoodle puppies. You were meant to be.

As I upload the pictures I see my most favorite whelping blanket. How comforting I think, the same blanket that was used for Cinnie, is her first whelp blanket. This circle of life wraps round me, like the blanket. Through the eyes of my most favorite colorful blanket (next to my quilts), the hardy blanket my daughter and son used on our couch growing up, either watching TV or recovering from illness, to beach/boat blanket, then to Cinnamon and the “coffee” drink named litter birth, to now Cinnamon’s first litter.

A grand life for a blanet and a grand life for drifting blogger that only gifted people can follow. 🙂 Live well, laugh often, love much; and yes; look up to the stars. There is a puppy up there named “touch of cinnamon”. Who ever is there first between us better be packing a tennis ball. He get’s it from his parents.
