puppy school graduate email

A puppy owner email:
we just wanted to share that luna is the proud recipient of a fancy certificate claiming her graduation from puppy kindergarten, level one. she wowed her classmates with 3 tricks, sitting, staying down and some (coerced with lots of treats) loose leash walking on her last day of class yesterday. ava demonstrated “high five” and “shake” to the oohs and aahs of her very supportive classmates’ (well, their owners anyway). and xxxx demonstrated “roll over”, which was quite a crowd pleaser. we are looking forward to taking the level 2 class with her. we all loved class, but no one more than luna herself. her favorite pups in the class are a rhodesian ridgeback and a swiss mountain dog, who aren’t much bigger than her now, but will be able to carry her on their tails before much longer. she is no pushover and adores playing with the big boys. her pals at the school park are 4 big black labradors. it is very fun to watch! we think she is trying to stay in touch with her lab side.
she is maturing beautifully. a devoted bell ringer to go potty, she has mellowed her play biting to next to nothing, and waits so nicely for her dinner. her biggest work to be done is on coming when called and staying off the couch. she visited her friend maggie, a standard golden doodle, who lolls regularly on the couch, and came home to immediately try out this laying on the couch business. this is a difficult one, as i really don’t care if she is on our disheveled, old couch, which the children have already damaged in so many ways. but xxxxx would rather her not be in the habit as she often comes in muddy and we may actually replace the 14 year old couch in the next 14 years. we pride ourselves on our consistency with her in other areas, but this is where it breaks down!
luna and maurice got to spend some time together in december which was extremely entertaining and they both appeared to love it. we hope to get them together again soon.
