Open your Eyes

We are getting so close to the puppies eyes opening. Two have the slits slightly more open then the others.
The first time they open their eyes ever. Such a cool thing to be there for. I have my camera at the ready. From my readings, research suggests they don’t think puppies clearly see. Probably like an infant opening their eyes for the first time. Makes you ponder hum?
A milestone, the first “hello world”. And I am here for it. How very cool.
After this, other stages start happening quickly in their development. But this to me marks the start of the litter going from whelp to puppy. The first leap of many that happen in this short span of time.
More of their coat wave and coloring is appearing. More pumping and suckling noises happening. More little puppy noises coming that they can’t hear themselves, but Belle responds to instantly. More puppy crawling and puppy piles. My “old” eyes get to be opened once again to the miracle of whelp becoming puppy in a short 8 weeks. It happens so fast. So, here is to the first view, the moment eyes open. Here’s to seeing it all…
