Happy 6 Weeks!

Tonight we take the 6 week old pictures of Kizer’s Grace and Chief’s litter.  They have been venturing outside, eatting meat and we start adding their dry dog food with their wet as Grace begins to wean them.  It is also time for their first human bath, not just washcloth wash or mom’s careful attention.

The milk bar is a short visit for the puppies and they feed standing up. Grace does not lik the milk teeth of the puppies and so she is starting to wean them. We believe in letting it all happen naturally and follow the mom’s lead.

The pack dynamic continues to develop and Grace this week will begin to teach manners. More happens this week as we head to the 49th day; the last push to develop and stimulate their minds.

This weekend the puppies will be matched up as best they can. I think there will still be one left but will know by Monday. I have taken their pictures down for the last week on the puppy web page as the Kizer’s ponder applications and puppy thinking. Flights are being arranged as well as contracts, possible final names and dates of puppy pick up.

This next week is very light crate training, a bit of collar exposure and other transition activities.

Tonight, pictures…
