Daphne & Banner 2015

Daphne had two boys and three girls early this morning starting at 12:30 and going until 3:45. Jeff was the star staying up with her for most of the whelp. She like her mom did a long slow labor all day building to the delivery. All are well and I will add photos probably this afternoon of everyone. When Jeff came home yesterday we trimmed up both girls “milk bar” and we then were on whelp duty with Daphne. It takes two people for the individual puppy photos (one to hold, they other to take the picture). Hopefully tonight if Jeff can stay awake. He went to work and I am sure will be ready for bed tonight. We both will be.
Jay, Daphne’s human daddy has chosen the theme Grimm (a TV show filmed in Portland, Oregon). Jay, an actor, was in a show with Grimms Alexander character a few years ago and thought the show had some good names for their temporary whelp names. He also liked that the filming is being done in Portland. The boys will be Alexander and Griffin. The girls will be Monroe, Rosalee and Adalind.
Jeff booked Banner and Chief grooming for this morning for me a while ago. Again, my planning was this would be a good in between litters time to take them in. Lucky for me Dad can come and sit with the new mom’s while I take the boys for their spa day.
We have several helpers in line for the next couple of months. But I am getting ahead of myself. Stay tuned!
