Daisy’s 4 Week Old puppies!

Hello 4 Weeks! I just uploaded 124 pictures to the page link on the top of Daisy’s litter photo album.

This weekend puppies left their nesting box more and more and began sleeping outside it.

We removed their box and introduced them to a kennel without a door which is a new place to explore and always reminds me of “playing fort”. This makes their crate experience less stressful if not introduced to a crate now they don’t seem to settle in with the idea of “crate” as easily.

We have also introduced the UGoDog (a wonderful indoor potty training grated tray) which some take to right away, naturally wanting to go in one location to keep  their area clean.

Daisy is always at the ready to feed, clean, supervise… but this week we also know the puppies will be growing so fast their demands on her will be beyound her production.

On their 4th week  birthday we introduced puppy mush as they have had water to practice lapping. They take to it readily, walking through it and becoming very sticky in the process! Following their mush meal we then took them out to the living room for some romping and exploring time.

They have walking down and their gait is  attempting to turn to the puppy run, going sideways and rolling as their legs go faster then their brakes.

They are “sticky” from the mush and Daisy is busy cleaning them as we try to take their 4 week pictures. It is going to get harder from this time forward to get a still shot as everything starts kicking into gear in their brains.  Daisy was giving them a milk bar chaser during their living room romp time and picture taking.  Yes, it is coming time for their first bath and a bit of an eye trim, as their coat is growing and the eye gaurd hairs are growing as well.

This is going to be a busy Week! Enjoy!
