Charlie Brown’s family came and took him home yesterday. Our dad came over to meet the family since he was in love, love, love with Charlie Brown. Jeff and I even took Charlie Brown over a few nights before to the folks house to let him say goodbye. 🙂 We are lucky we have so many family helpers that love doodles.
I will be uploading the family picture and then work on the other puppy pictures. Lucy, Sally, and Liam should be leaving the nest this week with two doodle boys from Muse’s litter having their surgery. We also had two other visits this weekend so it has been a busy one! I think Boomer will be spoken for once he gets his vet check on Tuesday as well, leaving only Joey and Sydney, the two having their surgeries left. We will know by Tuesday and the two boys, if all goes well at the vets will be available the following week once they find their families. Tuesday night is going to have me sleeping on the couch watching over recovering doodles and tonight crate training starts for the others. I plan on buying wonderful gifts for our neighbors as they play with the puppies and have said they don’t notice any puppy noises.
They puppies are all very smart and learning every day. Tonight we put collars on and let them drag leads around after they work their obstacle course. I will try to get a video as pictures at this age are harder and harder to get as they don’t stay still for very long. Belle and Libby and Chief are the social chairs to teach them to mind their manners and the manners of the pack.
And here we are. The final week of the most puppies we have every had at once; a two litter at a time and first litter for both Muse and Daisy. We will have a few next week as they recover. And I reflect that we started on Labor day and are ending at Thanksgiving. Once again proving God has such a sense of humor. 🙂
Happy doodling!
