What a day. Almost midnight, I have the 4 week puppies pics uploaded (tons again). We visited the Kizer litter and then we visited Cinnie and the family. The 4 week old puppies have transitioned to their puppy play pen and we watched the puppies have some play time until they started falling asleep.
First, I am so in love with the Kizer kids; their parents have raised them so well and they each are so special and unique. What is wonderful is they are each unique and bloom under the Kizers hands something that also shows in their puppies.
My whelper helper itty bitty has my heart. She stayed up in the early morning whelp, using every tool in her “ tool box” for making her case as to why she should be there for the whelp. I can’t help but love the one that knocks on the door when Gracie is whelping and is down right determined “I have to be there, Gracie and the pups need me”. And, add to that to go to school the next day? Talk about work ethic! But who else can share at school that they assisted in a puppy whelp?
The puppies are getting taller and having a growth spurt. Two have teeth in, two have teeth coming, one has gum bumps. They have their sleep area in the puppy play pen and Gracie is able to go in and out to check on them. She has a kennel area set up with padding as she does not want to leave her puppies just yet, but does want a break. The puppies get time outside the whelp box both in the house and “carpet time” outside of the puppy play pen. They discovered Gracie’s resting area for the first time while we were there visiting.
Enjoy the 4 week photos! And rest easy those waiting, the puppies are in such good hands!
