Bindi left the nest last night to her forever home as a future therapy dog. Another perfect match if I do say so myself. 🙂
Here is an email from her new family when they arrived in Washington after driving down to pick her up.
Hi Vicky,
We just wanted to let you and Jeff know that Bindi made it to her forever home in fine shape! She was a little restless when we first started out, until I opened the door to her crate in the backseat. We put her in the back and she was much happier than on my lap. I think she liked the comfort of her crate. We stopped about half way home to stretch our legs and give Bindi a potty break. She did a great job! She held it until we stopped, had a very good piddle and then settled down and slept the rest of the way home. We made sure to re-enforce what a good girl she was to piddle on a leash. A good first start!
She’s exploring all over the house and is trying to figure out the concept of a collar. She also saw her reflection is the sliding glass window looking out over our back deck and thinks there’s another puppy out there! It’s the funniest thing. She’s just adorable! She’s playing with her chicken and just loves it!
Thank you as well for xxxxx (left out as it is between the two of us) …a special keepsake of the day we brought Bindi to her forever home. I’m sure this is just the start of many more connections in the future. Thanks for taking such good care of our new baby!
Warmest thoughts,
C&G
