Liberty’s Jory and Banner of Liberty litter is 2 weeks old. Abby was the first to open her eyes, followed by Gibbs and then Ziva. The puppies are being well taken care of by first time mother Jory. In fact, they are little sausages as she wants them to eat all the time. She comes to get us, coming out of the bedroom half way and looks at us, then back to her whelp pen, then looking at us again. She is telling us have you seen the puppies? Come, look at them. Jeff and I take turns and she looks into the pen, then at us, then looks at them again. She is so cute, so proud of her puppies. She even tries to get our cat, Elsa, to come look. Funny first time mother!
We are very happy with them as well, this being Jory (Grace and Chief) and Banner’s first litter together and from only one mating. I see Chief’s boning and Jory’s mismarks show up in the three of them.
This next week we should see some attempts at standing, but they are little plump ones! Ears will begin to open and they will start hearing their surrounds and their own little voices.
