Happy 2012!

With the buying of our Doodle Acres, and selling our old home, moving and the holidays with our children coming home I am finally able to sit down for just a bit and add just a few emails and photos to the blog. We had a wonderful Christmas and so look forward to what promises to be a wonderful new year! Our daughter’s wedding, our son’s return, a Daisy Blossom’s second and last litter and hopefully our Izzy’s first litter. We will also be doing the testing out of Daphne, Daisy Deux, Primus, and Boomer. They are all happy in their guardian homes and I will be getting some updates on their pages as I update the website. I have also been trying to teach Jeff how to perform updates and switched over to the new site design for an easier way for him and our daughter to update. I just type away, while they inform me of typos and spelling and grammar. I would rather be socializing puppies. 🙂

Daisy (official name Blossom) is here with us now, and we are going into whelp watch with her checkup and puppy xray happening today. I hope to set up and try the puppy streaming video but bear with us as we are not sure if we can do live streaming as we have in the past with the satellite internet we are using. She is getting a sway on her as she walks and doing a little grunt as she lies down, puppies are swimming across her belly as she sleeps in bed with us. She is such a sweetheart. We will be whelping in the guest bedroom and getting the supplies ready for the pending doodle delivery.

Our farmhouse is very, very small and in need of remodeling that we are waiting for better weather to begin. The doodles are digging country life and Jeff and I love the views, space and are spending time discussing the proper stewardship of our little slice of heaven. Our first ever rehome, Zoey, stayed with us after a flight from the east coast and I am happy to say she is madly in love with her new family and lab sister.

With that, to my doodle extended family, I just wanted to wish you a very happy new year! Thank you for the updates as we love watching them grow and hearing about them.

I will post the xrays when we return.
xxVicky
