6 Weeks!

Glory days of summer! In Oregon we have record heat this summer and for Oregon we are very dry. The puppies this week have been out in the puppy play yard on some very dry grass and Lucy showed them how to go through the tunnel. Lucy is weaning them now as they all have baby teeth in. They are playing with toys (stuffed baby hedgehog is the prize for all of them). They are shifting from wet food to taste of the wild kibble that is wet down and added to the wet puppy canned food. The final transitions are beginning.
Tomorrow they will make another move to the puppy penthouse for more room to run and start some short crate training sessions first co sleeping in a crate to the end of the week individual time in the crate. This gets them ready for the pending vet visit in the 8th week that will include check ups, first shots, microchip and their spay or neuter.
My sister Lynda came for a visit and helped with the puppies and puppy pictures. Usually from here on out I try to get the pictures outside and before they eat. Did not happen this week, they ate first!
