24 Hours down, 24 more to go…

The first 48 hours are critical to both mom and the whelp so we pay close attention but let nature and nuture lead the way as both know best.
So far all is well with one little girl not being as busy as the milk bar as Belle would like. She seems to pick on her by waking her up just as she is falling asleep so she will eat more. They are “plumping out” and starting to learn the nipple pump where they use their paws to push and retract against the milk bar.
I continue to sleep on the couch and we discourage visitors and friends from coming by as we like Belle and the puppies to get to know each other.
